Hello, I need help!

I'm usually able to figure things out quite easily, but I'm completely
lost as to how to install and use the "make-3.80.tar.gz" package I've
downloaded on my Windows XP system. I've tried to read various pages
with step-by-step instructions on how to set it up and use it, but
can't get past the initial steps of running "configure", trying to use
a different binary make version, specifying the source and destination
folders, using the "makefile" file, the "install" file, and who knows
what else. To be honest, I'm quite lost and baffled and completely
confused with this, and really don't know where to turn.

I have absolutely no comand-line understanding or experience, but I do
learn extremely quickly, so if somebody could help me with this,
explaining what I'm doing wrong and provide some really specific and
detailed but also really clear and simple steps that I can follow, I
would REALLY appreciate it more than I can explain. Also, if this is
not tle correct place to post my question, of if I'm using the wrong
files or tools, or any other stupid and obvious mistake I might be
making, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction in that as
well.

Thank you very much,

Ivan
