Most likely this is the known Sun bug and not a Lynx bug.
Try using hard-coded IP numbers in your URL path instead of www.microsoft.com
e.g. http://207.68.156.51/
with numbers selcted from the following list:
> nslookup www.microsoft.com
Server: ns.slip.digex.net
Address: 205.197.245.224
Name: www.microsoft.com
Addresses:
207.68.156.49, 207.68.137.56, 207.68.156.51, 207.68.137.59
207.68.156.52, 207.68.137.62, 207.68.156.53, 207.68.137.65,
207.68.156.54
207.68.156.61, 207.68.156.16, 207.68.156.58, 207.68.156.73,
207.68.137.53
Then see if you can get your SunOS patched to fix it. Start at
Linkname: Crashes accessing WebCrawler, etc.

for more info on this.
