Unless otherwise specified, assume SPARC/Solaris.  SPARC users are
laden with hubris, and assume there's nothing else.  Solaris x86 users
are more sensitive, and likely to be specific.

Solaris is the trade name of SunOS 5.x, and is much more widely used.
