I sent an email last month to know if some peoples use explicitly IPv6 in their 
projects (even other than lwIP). But no answers :( 

Currently, my entreprise as decide to wait one year more before decide if we do 
something or not for IPv6 support. But, in France, it doesn't seems really 
necessary for the moment... I don't know for other countrys. Perhaps that's why 
IPv6 doesn't have any real active developer yet...

That is certainly true. There have been some fixes here and there: As we 
changed IPv4, we did some obvious changes to IPv6, too, but I don't think it 
has ever been really tested lately.

I really don't know. The downside is that you can compile lwIP either for IPv4 
_or_ for IPv6, you can't use both in one application.
