Follow-up Comment #4, patch #7683 (project lwip): Quick follow-up. I changed my approach to simply cast 3 time_t values to u32_t in the sys_arch.c for the UNIX port. Unfortunately it seems -Wall doesn't do the trick to provide the warnings (it's already in the Makefile); these warnings appear to be specific to my compilation environment. The complaint is about implicit conversion from unsigned int to time_t's type (long). I will attach a new patch, this time to lwip-contrib. (I didn't look closely to make sure overflow cases were being handled.)
