Hi,

Two things I already posted:

1. make the dns headers files C++ compatible with the classical
#ifdef _cplusplus extern "C" { ...

2. please look at the patch I posted for to post a "static" message for 
tcpip_thread callback.
It speeds up DMA drivers.
I made it very minimal so nobody should be harmed.

I'd like this one included in 1.4.0 so I can release my driver for the Analog 
Devices Blackfin architecture.
I'll add it to the wiki and I'm willing to maintain it in the CVS also.
I think it would be nice to have it included in the contrib-1.4.0 release.
This can potentially help a lot of programmers stuck with the old, inefficient 
& badly customized port provided with Visual DSP++.
