 It should be pretty trivial, actually, as we we already have the version
without wxDataViewCtrl from the alternative PR, so it should be just a
matter of rebasing it over the latest master, which should be painless
because there haven't been almost any changes to census_view.?pp since then
(except for fe40d6cb4 (Prefer https to http, 2020-07-29), which doesn't
conflict with anything).

 I suppose it would be still better if we retested everything after this
change, so it might take a little bit of time, but if you can wait until
the next week, we should definitely be able to do it by then. Will this do
or do you need it sooner (which should also be doable, I'm just giving
myself way too much time for this task to be sure we're not going to have
any problems with meeting this very generous deadline)?
