You can see it for yourself -- just checkout a clean version of lmi,
then cheng ChangeLog file (duplicate the line with non-ASCII
character) and run:
cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/lmi diff
ChangeLog > ChangeLog.patch

Ugh, I take it back. I just did it and 'cvs diff' does _not_ change
text. Please let me investigate what was going wrong with my previous
test and report here asap.
