Hi all,

Even though the installation and configuration process of is relatively
easily, for non-technical end-users the current process and
documentation is not catering to their needs.

I would like to request the user community to compile a "Getting started
with Linphone on laptop/dekstop" guide for the website with screenshots
for all platforms (Linux/Mac OS-X/Windows) describing all the steps a
non-technical end-user would have to take to successfully install and
configure Linphone.

This should start with the assumption that the end-user has an ADSL
internet connection in which the 'modem' has an own IP address and the
end-user would like to use Linphone's SIP proxy.

Please use only laymen’s terms and a less as possible technical terms.
Image users that do not know what SIP means and also never would like to
know what it means. How to instruct them efficiently?

Benefit of such a guide is that non-technical end-users on all platforms
can easily perform a successful installation of Linphone themselves.
This guide will be a reference for them for all the steps to take and
what choices to make during configuration.

Regards,

Pander
