You have to use outofband dtmf with rfc standard.
You might be using inband dtmf which will not work sip based voip phone as dtmf is send as a rtp stream with payload type 101.

Hello,
linphone is an awesome program. (Thanks guys) I use it quite frequently with
viatalk's SIP service. I am having a small problem with the ability to use DTMF:
An example sequence of events:
1. I make a phone call (for example a guided 800-number)
2. I get a sequence of menu options from the callee
3. I choose one of the options, by clicking the number with my mouse
4. The DTMF signal is *not received* by the callee
5. I *do* however hear the DTMF tone in my speakers/headset
I've tried this on both 64-bit *and* 32-bit binaries on
a stock fedora 64-bit linux system.
I'd be happy to provide logs.
Does anyone know why the DTMF is not being recognized on the other side?
Thanks!
