Thanks for the backtrace.

Can you please specify the version of the code that you did checkout (commit hash) ?

This would make us gain time for the investigation.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. The readme file says simply:

# Building the app

If you have Android Studio, simply open the project, wait for the gradle synchronization and then build/install the app.
It will download the linphone library from our Maven repository as an AAR file so you don't have to build anything yourself.

I did not change anything in source, just build/install the app. The full backtrace from logcat is in the attachment.

Hello.

This crash could have multiple reasons.

Did you follow the procedure described on the project readme ?

Have you done any modification in the code ?

You can eventually open an issue on the Github project.

We will need you to follow the issue template and to reproduce the issue with enable logs, join logs from app start (with version of the SDK) and backtrace of the crash.

Greetings all,

I checked out Android linphone from: https://gitlab.linphone.org/BC/public/linphone-android.git

When I compile the project in Android Studio 4.2.1 there are no errors.

I deploy the app, and when I try to register my account or log in, the app crashes with the following error:

org.linphone.debug A/libc: Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV), code 1 (SEGV_MAPERR), fault addr 0x0 in tid 3631 (.linphone.debug), pid 3631 (.linphone.debug)

Any insight/assistance on making it work would be greatly appreciated.

The device I am testing it on is Samsug Galaxy S21. The linphone app downloaded from Google playstore works on the same device without any problems.

Best regards
