Hello Shane,
I don’t understand what you want exactly. If you want to cue orchestra voices
in the choir part you should take a look at quoting.
So use
\addQuote "name" \orchestralmusic
To „define” a quotable part and then
Use
\quoteDuring "name" \somevocalmusic
