Well, that would be "doing something about it" at a moderate level.  It
might still require some expertise to isolate the problem from what I
presume is the proprietary code base of the company in order to create a
useful bug report, but the effort should likely be well within the
expertise of who did the original work for their integration.  And if
that person is not available any more, within the expertise they should
keep available in order to carry their product on.
