No, as Malte said you'll get this when placing a "|" (the barcheck) where you expect the barline. Very useful to to regularly (e.g. after every measure) to track down where something goes wrong. (In many cases when you misspell a command LilyPond will insert something like a spacer rest which wil offset the following music. So you can have barcheck errors even if your durations are all correct. *With* regular barchecks you'll easily track down such errors.
