It's just that I tried the (extended) example:

  c1 \mark \default
  c1 \mark \default
  c1 \mark #8
  c1 \mark \default
  c1 \mark \default
  \set Score.rehearsalMark = #20
  c1 \mark \default
  c1 \mark \default
}

and was suprised to find marks A B H J U V W instead of A B H J K T U .
