In the Fingerstyle world, notating String-dampening or string stopping is
of the utmost importance.  Michael Hedges is the composer who comes
to mind who used it with beautiful results.  With Finale, you have to use
a separate program to input the string dampening.  With Lilypond, you
can use a TextSpan that is placed in the #-1 layer.  If anyone is
interested in the .ly file of the piece please let me know.  Also, I am
more than open to constructive criticism.

Hi Rachael

I wonder what's the meaning of the staff lines highlighted in purple...
Also, all the slides in your piece seem non legato, because they are not slurred. I use to write legato slides as:

c( \glissando d)

But my tablature references are probably very different from yours.

Feel free to share the recording if you have found it, I enjoy fingerstyle guitar ;-)
