ok, i have an idea for simplification: if one could fork lilypond repo
on github, write the changes there and create a patch, everything
using github web interface, doing "small doc changes" would become
massively simpler. I've asked github team whether they could make it
possible and i'll let you know when they answer.
(let's not discuss this until we know it's possible)
