I did a quick check. It looks like the sticking-out barlines issue is
only partly solved, see my mail in other thread
(http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-devel/2011-07/msg00925.html).
However, i've only looked at how this is displayed on my screen, i
haven't printed it yet.
I also don't know how Han-Wen's patch will affect barline thickness,
as i haven't experienced this problem.
Jean-Alexis, can you compile latest git version of lilypond and use it
on your score? If not, please send me the score sources; i'll compile
it and send the pdf to you so that you might check if it prints
correctly.
