I've used LilyPond myself for typesetting music on IMSLP. I'd say the parts came out very well, although, I've only contributed two parts, with a few I'm working on now. You can find my two contributed scores at [1]. In my opinion, the LilyPond scores look much nicer than the commercial typesetters in terms of readability.

Of course, if you every want the source code, just ask. :)

I think it's great! I was not familiar with either Nivers or mediaeval
church modes
before, so I've learnt a lot from looking at these. I shall be taking a
copy along
to our local church organ the next time I play to try some of them out.
