Dear LilyPond users,
I'm happy to announce the first release of my LilyPond plugin for jEdit
(http://www.jedit.org).
I think Windows users will be especially happy with this plugin, because you
can achieve many features that were available only in Emacs/Vim.
It should work on other platforms as well, because it's written in Java (as
jEdit).
It has a unique feature as well: Document Setup Wizard to set up staves
easier.
For download information and screenshots, see its homepage at
http://lily4jedit.sourceforge.net
Features:
- Syntax coloring
- Error list after compiling (find error position with one click)
- Simple parser for:
- tree view of file structure (includes, identifiers and
blocks)
- block folding
- keyword completion
- Document Setup Wizard
- Set titling
- Set up parts
- Set up time and key signature
- Set up tempo and other properties
- Convert accented characters to escaped ones
- Call lilypond, convert-ly and PS viewer from inside
- LilyPond documentation in JavaHelp (screenshot)
- Convenient tree view of doc. structure
- Syntax colored examples
- Keyword index
- Full text search of entire documentation
The plugin is under continous development. All suggestions are welcome.
Greetings,
Bert
