Rapha,

indeed I do have experience with installers, started with them during the M$ SMS 2.0 days... I've used NSIS a couple of times too and others as well.

I think that those that want bleeding edge releases should use a git-client. For all others, an automatic installer for each stable release would be ok. It does beg the question how the Windows release is going to be integrated in the current test system. I suppose it would be best to re-run the tests on a Windows platform, but that would require setting up a second infrastructure, and it would also require the test to be repeated for each and every compiler that Liberty-Eiffel is going to contain in the installer...

Hi,

Hans, this sounds great! Have you experience with creating installers? I once used NSIS, which worked very well, you may take a look at this. I
did not use it heavily, but if questions arise, there are (small)
chances, that I might help. And it seems, that NSIS installer generator
should be executable on linux, so we wight even teach ET to generate
nightly windows setups.

Regards,
Rapha

Hi,

as we privately started to discuss on liberty visibility, I'd like to
share some ideas to improve the visibility of Liberty-Eiffel on the web:

- work on the wikipedia entry of Liberty (official GNU status is not yet
documented there)
- improve the tutorial tour
(http://wiki.liberty-eiffel.org/index.php/Tutorial_tour)
- add links on external websites to the main liberty web page
(www.liberty-eiffel.org)

probably most important:
- create a eiffel project which uses the Liberty compiler

Feel free to increase the list, by adding comments, or decrease it by
doing it ;-)

Kind regards,
Rapha
