yes, there is a pulse<->bridge plugin for pulse - on arch-like
systems it is the 'pulseaudio-jack' package - also, im not sure
how well it works yet, but there is a new project (pipewire)
that is intended to abstract-away from applications, the various
*nix audio I/O protocols
