From: Jeanne Rasata
Subject: [FSF] 2008 Associate Members Meeting
Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2008 16:20:04 -0500

Come join the Free Software Foundation leadership and staff for a day
of presentations and conversations!

The Annual FSF Associate Membership Meeting will be on Saturday, March
15, 2008 from 9:15 AM - 5:50 PM in Cambridge, MA at MIT in Building
6-120. For more information, please, visit
<https://www.fsf.org/associate/meetings/2008/>.

If you wish to attend, please, RSVP to address@hidden by Monday,
March 3.

Not currently a member? Join today at
<https://www.fsf.org/associate/support_freedom/join_fsf?/> or renew so
you can attend this event.

FSF staff and board members, including Richard Stallman and Mako Hill,
will be speaking and Ben Klemens will be giving a presentation on the
campaign to eliminate software patents. We will be adding more
speakers to the schedule over the coming weeks. We derive great
benefit from the perspectives everyone shares at these annual
meetings. The feedback we get from our members is invaluable in
charting our course for the coming year. We hope that you will come
and share your ideas.

This year's meeting will also host the annual Free Software Awards
ceremony.

In advance of the meeting, we will be seeking member input into our
campaigns for the year ahead, helping formulate plans for the
advancement of free software. Members can join the general discussion
in our online members forum at
<https://www.fsf.org/associate/forum/general/>.

We have created a Mailman email list, address@hidden, to which you
can subscribe either by sending a message with the subject 'subscribe'
to address@hidden or by visiting the Mailman mailing list
page at <http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/am-meeting/>. Feel free
to use this list to meet other associate members who plan to attend
the meeting so that you can discuss room sharing, carpooling, and
other coordination details.

There is no charge for members to attend. Breakfast and lunch will be
provided.

Once again, after the meeting, we will have dinner at The Middle East
in Cambridge, MA. The cost is $25 per person. Drinks are extra.
Thanks for letting us know, when you RSVP, whether you will also be
coming to the dinner.

We're looking forward to meeting or seeing you again!

Sincerely,
Jeanne
