We converted from NFS to pserver.
CVS hangs permanently when we try to concurently edit files:
cvs edit file.ext
cvs edit: warning: unrecognized response `user1 is editing the file.
Please "cvs unedit <thefile>".' from cvs server
Now it happens that the unrecognized response is taken from the notify
file which looks like this:
ALL echo %s is editing the file. Please \"cvs unedit \<thefile\>\".
But how do I get CVS not to hang???
We use the cvs watch on feature, it is useful for knowing who's currently
editing a file you also want to edit, and a quick look at ls -l output
let's you see which files are writable.
Confused,
Martin
