You  should not do "pkg -forge install geometry". The operation tries to istall 
geometry package from source.
You should download "Octave3.6.4_gcc4.6.2_pkgs_20130402.7z" and obey 
instruction there,
http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%20Windows%20binaries/Octave%203.6.4%20for%20Windows%20MinGW%20installer/

It would be better not to use "pkg install" command. That command requires a 
lot of knowledge and a newbie might handle them with a lot of knowledges  for 
the octave-forge systems.
