No, they are currently only not used anywhere, they are only noticed if you
read the DESCRIPTION file directly.
If you like that to change, you could patch the generate_html package so that
they appear on the package description page, e.g. here:
octave.sourceforge.net/cgi/index.html
but I am not sure about the security implications.
