Assume a package that links to a library not used by Octave
(octave-database used to do this). Then a binary incompatible update to
said library happens in the distribution. Using the octave package
without recompiling it will result in a segfault, with no hint about the
reason.
Is this something an average Octave user is supposed to handle? Mind
you, we are talking about people here that are not building Octave
itself from source.
