This is the octave-devel port, not the octave port. The octave port is still
stuck at 3.2.4.
I just installed Octave 3.6.2 on my OSX 10.8.1 system with the command
port install octave-devel +docs +fltk
Before today the octave-devel port would not compile on Mountain Lion (10.8).
