I am running Windows
Vista. I have successfully installed Octave-3.2.2_gcc-4.3.0 using the
Windows Installer.
Now I'm trying to
install several packages, starting with the "time" and "miscellaneous"
packages. I'm getting errors that make the computer think it's installing
them on a unix system or something like that. Here are the errors I get,
and I have no idea what to do next (I'm new to Octave):
-> pkg install
miscellaneous-1.0.9.tar.gz
configure: error: in
`/tmp/oct-3/miscellaneous-1.0.9/src':
configure: error: no acceptable C
compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.
the configure
script returned the following error: checking for gcc... no
checking for
cc... no
checking for cl.exe... no
