Yes, that's still the purpose of the info list. But I haven't made
anything but snapshots for about N years now. :-/
I wouldn't mind being told about the snapshots. In the course of time the
snapshots have introduced a huge amount of new functionality. For
example, n-D arrays came along somewhere around 2.1.51. When a new one
comes out, I will often want to use it.
Once 3.0 comes out, will that do away with the current three series?:
"stable," "testing" and "development." Given that we always recommend
against using the stable, it should probably be retired soon.
