| stuff actually wasn't my idea--it was added by whoever was maintaining
| the Fedora Core package before it was moved to extras and I took over.
If I recall correctly, I think the general objection to the -rpath
option is that it makes it harder to move the executable to another
location later. OTOH, there are probably some other problems with
doing that, so I'm not sure it matters.
