How do I do that?

what I usually do is to plot my plots as png (or ps and convert it to jpg) then I use mencoder ( to create an avi movie:

mencoder \*.jpg -mf on:w=1124:h=638:fps=1 -o output.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vpass=1 -nosound -oac copy mencoder \*.jpg -mf on:w=1124:h=638:fps=1 -o output.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vpass=2 -nosound -oac copy

I use two passes as this way the output.avi is smaller.
