How do I send to someone a series of plots if they don't have octave or matlab? For myself I run the loop for i=1:120 plot(mydata(i)) endfor and I get a very nice "movie" of the changing set ofmydata.I wish to email this exact movie experience of mydata tosomeone who does not have octave or matlab. How do I do that?
Robert, what I usually do is to plot my plots as png (or ps and convert it to jpg) then I use mencoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu) to create an avi movie:
mencoder \*.jpg -mf on:w=1124:h=638:fps=1 -o output.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vpass=1 -nosound -oac copy mencoder \*.jpg -mf on:w=1124:h=638:fps=1 -o output.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2:vpass=2 -nosound -oac copy
I use two passes as this way the output.avi is smaller. Claudio ------------------------------------------------------------- Octave is freely available under the terms of the GNU GPL.
