Sparse Matrices

Hi all!

One or two weeks ago I asked for the availability of an sparse 
matrices utility in Octave.
Today I've finally installed octave-forge but now, when starting 
up octave I get the following error message:


error: /home/yeyo/octave-forge/oct/dispatch.oct is not a valid 
shared library
error: 'dispatch' undefined near line 2 column 1
error: near line 2 of file '/home/yeyo/octave-forge/comm/PKG_ADD'
error: evaluating assignment expression near line 2, column 10
error: near line 2 of file '/home/yeyo/.octaverc'
octave:1>


The the program runs correctly (up to very simple tests) but 
then, when I introduce "sparse" in the command line I get:

octave:1>sparse
error: /home/yeyo/octave-forge/oct/sparse.oct is not a valid 
shared library
octave:1>

I've installed octave-forge under "Fedora Core 2" by following 
the instruccions in the INSTALL file.
Can anyone give me a hand?
