how do i use the function "mkoctfile" which creates an octave file from a code written in c++. the manual says that i just type: mkoctfile filename.cc
but a 'parse error' always appears. do i have to store the .cc file in a specific directory for the compilation to work? and do i c++ code in notepad and then save it as .cc? or do i need a c++ compiler to create a .cc for me?
