How Octave calculate cov(matrix)

Hi,
 I want to find the source-code, to see the method used for OCTAVE to calculate 
the cov(matrix) (BTW, did you know what is the meaning of cov(matrix,matrix) ). 
I'm currentky running OCTAVE both in Debian and in Win XP, but I don't know if I 
have the sources... so, I will thanks If someone let me know where I can found 
the source code for the function cov() and how to obtain the source code.
