Image Processing, thank you Mr. Tankus!

I'm having trouble getting the image processing toolbox from Ariel 
Tankus to work,

when using readjpg I get:
   sh: djpeg: command not found
   error: Unable to read magic number

using writepnm or showpnm I get:
   error: 'scl' undefined near line 52 column 14 ... in writeppm.m

Does anyone recognize these?
