  on a related subject, I wrote a function for selecting 3D points
interactively (in the "vrml" package, on my homepage at http://
anonimo.isr.ist.utl.pt/Šþetienne/octave/). This function requires
that you have a recent FreeWRL (www.crc.ca/FreeWRL) installed.
