Hey, Mike: let's have coffee when I get back in town, and I'll fill
you in where this went to when I brought it up. :-)  In a nutshell,
people more or less agree that something like this has to be made to
work, but it's not as easy as it looks.  Buying objects is easy for
us at Mizzou, but selling the objects is something else, and having
the money redirected to Octave can be tricky.  Direct grants or
payments for services to JWE (say) would do the trick, but then you
run into having to pay overhead...
