atomic functions

hi! is it possible to have atomic functions in octave? that is fuctions
signaled as non interruptibles to octave? i've been looking thru the
code and found one class called unwind_protect, does this class have
anything to do with it? just started working with octave 2 weeks ago,
so  forgive me if this is one of those stupid questions, but i tried to
find an example from the source code, but it's so big that i could loose
1 or 2 week work trying to find it... hope someone can help... thanks in
