Plotting one instead of more plots

Hi octavers,

This is probably asked many times, I apologize but
I have different data sets (each of them uses another symbol) and
I want them plotted in one graph(file) to be processed later in latex

Now I do something like

plot(data(:,1),data(:,2),"@1",data(:,3),data(:,4),"@3" ..etc.)

terminal latex and output to file
I get more plots than I want, each showing a bit more of what I want,
the last one showing what I want.

What to do, is there a setting of switch to change this?
