My latest attempts: Tried to find the data by going back into Ubuntu Live. Nothing was in file manager. Ran boot repair up to place where it loads LVM, but nothing was mounted. Tried sudo fdisk -l from terminal, but got a warning that there was a GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on /dev/sda. It said to use GNU Parted. But it found /dev/sda of 40 GB, /dev/sda1, /dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_swap, and /dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root, with the last two not having valid partitions. Tried sudo parted, and it listed the Partition Table: gpt 1. 1049 KB bios_grub 2. 524 MB ext4 boot 3. 39.5 GB lvm Don't know how to mount lvm. |
