I didn't think that tablature ever had a clef? I'm familiar with a
range of lute, flageolet, ukelele and guitar tab, and have never seen
a clef.
I don't know whether you'd class Schoenberg's 16-line system as a
staff, but I notice that his `clef' is also on a space.
