Placement of the alternative beams

Hello,

We have noted a small imperfection on the placement of the alternative
beams. If the hight of the highest note in the various sets of an
alternative differ a lot, the beams will not be at exactly the same
distance from the staff.

Would it be possible to compute only one distance to the staff based
on the highest note of all sets of an alternative and use it for all
beams?
