Please read the manual, lots of things have changed from 1.2.17
and the manual is actually fairly up to date at the moment.
Also, I hope you've used convert-ly to update your files
(it won't catch all necessary changes but most of them).

Anyway, `\repeat unfold 2 {...}' is what you want to try.
(In 1.2.17 you could actually write anything but `volta' or
`fold' to get the unfolded, now the name is fixed.)
