How to run latex on lily's tex-files?

When I run 
ly2dvi file.ly
I get a resulting file.dvi, but when I run 
lilypond file.ly
and afterwards issue the command 
latex file.tex 
the program stops after the following lines (and of course no dvi-file is 
produced):

Am I issuing the wrong command?
(I've compiled lilypond-1.3.130 from source)
