Hello,
In addition to the points mentioned in my earlier mail, I need a clarification:
I created a file by name "gnats-db.conf" with appropriate entries under /etc directory.
My database name is "pqagnats" and not gnats-db. So, should I create a file
by name "gnats-db.conf" or "pqagnats.conf"?
Also, from the shell, I am able to file the PRs using "send-pr" and I also got the mail. I was also able to
query the PRs using query-pr from the command prompt (shell).
The index file is created but is looks a bit clustered unlike the index file generated by gnats-3.113 version.
There are no separators in this index file. Is this how this file created by gnats 4.0?
But when I use the gnats web interface (2.9.3), I get the same error:
"GNATS server cannot read the index".
Thanks and Regards,
Ramesh Chandra

Subject: Login error while using Gnats4.0
Hello,
We are using Gnats 4.0 on Redhat linux 7.3. We are also using the web interface files gnatsweb.pl
along with gnats.pm.
The very first time itself, when I give the URL of the gnats web interface, it is coming out with the
following error:
"GNATS server cannot read the index".
How do I solve this? As for as the instructions, the "index" file gets created when we file the first PR.
But even before it why is it searching for the index file? There is an empty index file created during the
installation under ../gnats-adm directory.
I have followed the instructions and ceated the database and the edited the corresponding configuration files.
I am running the "gnatsd" daemon thro' xinetd. Please let me know what mistake I have done and how do I rectify
the above error.
Thanks and REgards,
Ramesh Chandra
