Adding a new field to a PR

Hello,
      How can we add a new field to a PR (in our case a field called
"Update"). We want this field to serve as updates to the PR ( thereby
treating "Description" as golden and untouchable). I tried tweaking the
dbconfig file, but it does not show up. Maybe I am not doing it right.
Please help us on this. Thanks for your time.
