Current state of affairs is that Debian is the most easy way of installing
GIFT, as there is a Debian GIFT package AFAIK. The package is called
gnuift, as there is a P2P filesharing system called giFT and the giFT
package came before the GIFT package.
Are you working on a precise project? Does it have to do with your
potography site?
