Dear All,
As it happens I am actually entirely against disease (versus
intervention-specific!) modules.
After all, treatment for IV-related diseases is such a problem, because
it happens in regions that have had a poor primary heath care record.
So, instead of creating more "vertical" modules, a generic approach
should be cherished: Special lab tests can be configured by the
administrator, as can be other "health products".
This approach does not preclude special modules for specific
interventions, e.g. in dentistry, ophthalmology, paediatrics (growth
charts), community surveys (Chagas, malaria, Dengue, soil-borne
diseases), however, for the health care facility, a standard module
should be used.
Just my two cents, stay well!
Chris
