Thank you for trying. Hmm strange. I tried once again (I think I did
the same steps as before) and it worked. Maybe I forgot something?
Maybe it depends on how fast the machine completes a formatting task?
So I tried again two more times and it failed again, I got the error
again both times during partition formatting.
So all the partitioning is already done except for the encryption.
/dev/sdc is the install USB drive. /dev/sda is the hard disk.
/dev/sda1 is the EFI system partition; I do not format it. /dev/sda5
is the partition I try to put the encrypted root fs on. I check
encryption and set its mount point to “/”.
/var/log/messages has the following log for the installer:
